Point
Yerie is a computational artist and digital media designer working across interactive installation, generative systems, AI-driven visuals and speculative design. Her practice explores how subtle forms of perception, bodily experience and environmental relation can be translated into visual, sonic and interactive media systems.
With a background in visual communication design, she combines conceptual research, visual storytelling, AI-assisted workflows and technical prototyping. She works with tools such as TouchDesigner, p5.js, MediaPipe, Max/MSP, Arduino, Blender, Unreal Engine and generative AI systems to develop real-time experiences where body, data and environment interact.
AI plays an important role in her creative process, not only as a tool for image generation, but also as a collaborator in research, visual experimentation, coding support, system iteration and speculative worldbuilding. Through this workflow, she explores how human intuition and machine intelligence can co-create new forms of digital experience.
Her current research focuses on computation, embodied perception and Eastern philosophical thought. Rather than using technology only as a tool for control or efficiency, she is interested in responsive systems that remain unstable, generative and alive, especially in relation to concepts such as Qi, Wu-Wei, rhythm, ecology and non-control.
